Our customer is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Its Belgian production and packaging facility is the largest of its kind in Europe, producing more than one million injectable vaccines and medicines every day.
Challenge
To expand its production capacity, the customer is investing in a new production line comprising eight separate installations. One of these is the filling and docking system, which plays a critical role in the process. It ensures that the finished product is transferred from a storage tank to the filling machine through a product filter, while maintaining strict control over temperature and pressure throughout the operation.

De Roeve served as the main contractor for the filling and docking installation. For this turnkey project, we combined the expertise of our in-house automation and electrical engineering specialists with the knowledge of an engineering partner and a subcontractor responsible for the mechanical execution.

While the product is being filled through our installation, the control processes within the tank are continuously monitored.
Consistent Process Control
Control processes are automatically maintained within specification, ensuring stable operating conditions and consistent product quality.
Recipe-based process control
A recipe-driven control system maintains critical process parameters such as temperature and pressure within specification, ensuring optimal product quality before transfer to the filling line.
Extremely short lead times
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to meet the customer's expectations, even under extremely tight delivery schedules.
Validation and Testing Compliance
